glTF Pipeline with Richard Lee

This semester I am happy to be working with Richard Lee, a University of Pennsylvania student studying both Digital Media Design and Computer Graphics and Game Technology.

Richard is developing open-source glTF pipeline tools for tasks such as optimizing glTF assets, converting to and from binary glTF, and supporting glTF extensions. We’re using Node.js, so the tools will be available as a command-line utility, Node.js module, and JavaScript library. Follow Richard’s progress by watching the gltf-pipeline repo.

Last summer, Richard was at Pixar Animation Studios where, among other things, he created vegetation networks and a procedural favela. At Penn, he has also served as the teaching assistant for the Game Design Practicum, Computer Graphics Techniques, and Introduction to Computer Programming courses.
