Ruth Suehle

Director of Community Outreach, Red Hat

Ruth Suehle is Director of Community Outreach in Red Hat’s Open Source Program Office, which supports upstream open source software communities and projects. She is also executive vice-president of the Apache Software Foundation and a producer of the ApacheCon conference. Her interests include promoting open source in the video game industry, and she is co-chair of the Free and Open Source Software SIG in the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) and secretary and governing board member for the O3D Foundation. Co-author of Raspberry Pi Hacks (O’Reilly, December 2013) and previously editor of Red Hat Magazine and opensource.com. Ruth is a writer and core contributor at GeekMom.com, where she covers the adventures of motherhood and fandom.
