Wireless Network Monitoring with IMS Wireless Manager

IMS Wireless Manager, developed by FTP Technologies, is a live, real-time wireless network monitoring solution. It monitors, collects, and stores a user’s network performance data, and it allows users to go back and “replay” any network issues to assist root cause analysis. It can be used to monitor networks of any size, but is primarily designed for large-scale outdoor networks such as those found on mine sites.

IMS offers both a dashboard for management and analysis, and a detailed real-time map view of the user’s network data, including the locations of and the connections between network devices. The map, built on CesiumJS, has helped users get a better feel for why their device is having connectivity problems. It makes a big difference being able to see exactly where a device was and what it was doing when it lost connectivity—instead of just knowing the time.
