Shehzan Mohammed joins the Cesium team

Welcome to Shehzan Mohammed, who is joining the Cesium team at AGI as a 3D Software Developer today.

Shehzan previously worked at ArrayFire, where he used CUDA, OpenCL, and OpenGL for GPU computing applications and helped lead the effort to make the ArrayFire library open source.

Shehzan earned a master’s in computer graphics and game technology in 2013 at the University of Pennsylvania, where we met. In my GPU Programming and Architecture course, Shehzan was the first student to implement a KD-tree on the GPU. Since then, Shehzan has supported my course with hands-on guest lectures on GPU debugging and profiling. At Penn, Shehzan was also a teaching assistant for the computer graphics course.

Shehzan brings the perfect blend of GPU computing, graphics, and open-source community skills to the Cesium team. We look forward to his contributions to the 3D Tiles runtime and tools.

Welcome, Shehzan!
