Use Flightradar24 for Real-time Flight Tracking for Thousands of Aircraft Worldwide

Flightradar24 is a flight tracking service that provides real-time information about thousands of flights. The service collects data from a number of sources to show the real-time location of aircraft all over the world, including more than 95% of commercial flights. Users can also view details about each flight, such as speed, destination, and arrival time. Since it was first launched in 2006, Flightradar24 has grown considerably; this popular app has been downloaded more than 30 million times, and each month Flightradar24.com is visited more than 45 million times.

Flightradar24’s 3D view was originally built on Google Earth and has since migrated to Cesium. The move has allowed Flightradar24 to be viewed on a wider array of devices, without a plugin.

As part of the move to Cesium, Flightradar24 has developed a more immersive 3D view. In addition to providing a cockpit view, the new 3D view also allows users to track flights from outside the plane, which is represented by a 3D model. See their aircraft models in glTF format on GitHub. Users can pan and zoom to see the flight from any angle and watch detailed scenery pass beneath.
